Infrared sensors detect and light up the backboard by rapidly blinking each time you score a basket. The dual-function LED lighting system also allows you to keep the backboard illuminated during your entire game, while an on/off switch helps extend the battery life. Extended mounting brackets lower the backboard frame so it can be mounted to either side of most standard-sized doors (1 3/8" depth) and still allow the door to close.
