First, you need to determine the "handle" end of the rod. The handle is to be placed on the end of the rod that has a hole about 1/2" from the end of the rod. This hole may not go all the way through the rod.

Once you have identified the handle ends, choose any team color with which to start. You work with one color at a time.

PLEASE NOTE: DURING ASSEMBLY YOU ARE WORKING UP SIDE DOWN. THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION IS FOR THE TABLE IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION, WHICH IS OPPOSITE OF ASSEMBLY.

Choose a side from which to start. The far left hole is for the 3 player goalie rod. The second hole is for the two player rod. Skip the third hole. The fourth hole is for the five player rod. Skip the fifth hole. The sixth hole is for the three player rod.

Repeat from other side with the opposite color.

If you have your rods installed incorrectly you can remove the bolt in the center of each player and slide the rod out of the table. If you have the handle installed on the wrong end of the rod you may have to cut them to get them off the rod. You can purchase new handles by calling Customer Service @ 800-426-1421.

Should you need to replace your flash goal please use the following steps. 1. Remove the two screws under the table that hold the goal to the table. 2. From the top of the table lift up the goal. 3. Remove the 4 small screws which hold the flashing lights to the goal. 4. Attach the new goal in the reverse order.

Some of our new soccer players for 2000 have the installation bolt inside the head. You must first pop the cap off the players head to gain access to the bolt. Have someone hold the rod steady and use a blade screwdriver to pop the cap off. Take your time so you don't slip and damage the playfield with the screwdriver.

The problem will be with the two connections which are made using wire P7A. This is the wire that runs through a support tube and connects the front switch to the electronic scoreboard. Double check both of these connections (one at the front switch and one at the scoreboard itself). First make sure nothing is bent or broken inside any of the plugs. If a metal prong is bent on one of the "male" ends of the plugs, simply straighten it with a pair of needlenose pliers. (Be sure the adapter is not plugged in while doing this). Next, make sure the little arrows are aligned on each plug at each connection. Finally, push very hard until the connections distinctively "snap" together. If you do not hear a snap, of if the two plugs easily pull apart, they are not connected. Continue to push very hard until both connections are snapped together. You may have to make several attempts. If there are parts broken inside any of the plugs, you will need to request a new wire (P7A) be sent to you.

The most common cause of this is that the infared sensors are not aligned correctly. They must face each other in order to work. The sensor is connected to the side of the goal box and held on with a small silver screw and nut. You can loosen the nut and turn the sensor very slightly up or down to make the adjustment. The sensor is the small black plastic piece with the wires running to it.
